Retinitis Pigmentosa is an incurable and progressive genetic disease that has slowly eaten away at my vision for the past twenty years. A blind filmmaker? It might sound unusual, but this journey has given me a unique perspective on the visual world. In the time God has granted me sight, I’ve learned to truly cherish the beauty and depth of what I see. This appreciation has fueled my obsession with capturing life’s essence and complex emotions through the power of visual storytelling.

My passion for storytelling led me to Columbia College Chicago, where I earned a degree in Cinema Arts & Science with a concentration in Directing and Screenwriting. Since then, I’ve worked extensively to perfect my craft across various roles in all phases of production.

Every frame I create is shaped by my determination to turn challenges into art and my belief that the most profound stories are often told through the lens of a unique and ever-fleeting perspective.

Let's make something together,

Eduardo A. Castillo
